About this Course
Teacher-learners need the best and current information available to improve their teaching skills. The Executive Program in Teaching and Instructional Practices will help educators develop their professional skills in a focused, practical, and modern way.
Participants will gain knowledge and experience in many areas of instruction, including:
- Classroom Management
- Instructional Planning
- Designing Assessments
- Educator Communication
- Instructional Leadership.
The Executive Program consists of five modules that run for five days each. The modules are designed to provide teacher-learners with immediate, hands-on tutorial implementation of the strategies they will learn. Upon completion of all five modules, participants will receive an Executive Certificate in Teaching and Instructional Practices, worth 15 credits. Participants are welcome to complete individual modules based on their individual needs.

Module 1: Pedagogy and Theories of Learning
By the end of this module, teachers will enhance their understanding of learning theories and effective instructional strategies. Teachers will be able to design engaging learning experiences that allow students to demonstrate knowledge and engage in higher-level cognitive processes. Finally, teachers will be able to apply reflective strategies that promote self-assessment and continuous professional growth.

Module 2: Classroom Management
By the end of this module, teachers will develop skills required to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment. Teachers will be able to foster student engagement through effective strategies for behavior management, establish clear expectations, and support diverse learners. Teachers will acquire skills necessary for effective communication with students, parents, and colleagues.

By the end of this module, teachers will acquire tools to design authentic and performance-based assessments. They will learn principles of timely and constructive feedback, data analysis, and the use of formative assessments to promote student development. Teachers will learn about the role of self-assessment and reflection, and their role in assessment outcomes.

Module 4: Technology in Education
By the end of this module, teachers will acquire a comprehensive understanding of the transformative impact of technology on the education field. Teachers will have the opportunity to apply pedagogical and technological tools and adapt their instructional strategies to enhance the learner experience. They will utilize technology to design, develop, and implement educational activities. This module adopts a dynamic project-based learning approach in which learners will acquire these strategies by actively applying them in real-classroom schemes.

By the end of this module, teachers will connect with their authentic teacher voice and gain insight into the principles of instructional leadership. By the end of this module, teachers will acquire a deeper understanding of their teaching practice, navigate their identity as educators, and align their teaching with a focused methodology. Teachers will acquire skills to support their colleagues. Teachers will be empowered to translate their intentions into practice.
